Schroders plc, a British multinational asset management company founded in 1804, employs over 5,000 people across 32 locations worldwide. With a strong legacy of using Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) for Finance, Procurement and HR, Schroders recognised the need to modernise and align with best practice. The organisation embarked on a major transformation, migrating from Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
The Challenge
Schroders’ employees were highly experienced in the legacy EBS platform but unfamiliar with Oracle Cloud. The shift introduced entirely new ways of working, leaving teams unsure of what to expect and with little context to relate back to their established processes.
To support this transformation, Schroders commissioned Fudgelearn to partner with their System Integrator and internal stakeholders. Our role was to design and deliver a comprehensive training programme spanning:

The challenge was clear: deliver meaningful training to a decentralised workforce spread across multiple regions, while ensuring consistency, accessibility, and confidence in the new system.

Our Training Needs Analysis (TNA) identified two critical gaps:

This approach meant employees could learn in the way that best suited them – whether through live sessions, repeatable videos, or quick on-the-job guides.

The tailored training programme enabled Schroders’ UK and EMEA teams to quickly reach proficiency, maximising ROI on their Oracle Cloud investment. Employees gained the confidence to carry out day-to-day tasks effectively, with just-in-time support available whenever they needed it.
The success of the UK and EMEA rollout is now driving momentum, with Schroders preparing to extend the training programme to other regions globally.
