Quarterly change can erode familiarity, regardless of how big or small the change.
Even if Fusion is standardised, business processes and policies are likely to be organisation specific.
Training and OGL work hand-in-hand. Training provides the knowledge and skills required to get started using the system. OGL is then available at the point of need whilst users are completing the process or transaction, and can be used to communicate and support ongoing change.
“Teach me how to do this.” vs “Help me while I’m doing this”.
Concepts, explanations and scenarios vs. task/transaction focus for various scenarios. Training = safe environment for system demonstrations and practice.
OGL = live in production, involving real-life transactions.
They work best together.
Users ask questions, ODA responds via query-led interactions.
Journeys are mainly present in HCM, and are used to direct users to tasks, guiding employees through HR lifecycle activities such as onboarding and promotions. OGL provides role‑based contextual support to help them complete those tasks accurately, for example, policy links, critical hints and tips, data validation conditions and change communication messages.
