Overview
Schroders plc is a British multinational asset management company, founded in 1804 based in London, England. The company employs over 5,000 people worldwide in 32 locations around Europe, America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The organisation was an existing user of Oracle E-Business suite for Finance, Procurement and HR. To bring its business up to date with modern best practice it decided to migrate from Oracle EBS to Fusion (Cloud) Applications.Â
Challenge
Although the employees had in-depth knowledge of the old Oracle EBS system, they did not have any experience of Oracle Cloud Applications. The team also was not aware of the changes between the old and new system, therefore they did not have much information to relate to.Â
Fudge was commissioned to work with the System Integrator and the key stakeholders in the business to write training materials across Finance (Invoice to Cash, Record to Report and Cost Operations) as well as Procurement and the Purchase to Pay stream. With a view to deliver the training to decentralised team across multiple locations.Â
Approach
The needs analysis (TNA) across the system, process and testing scenarios highlighted a knowledge gap in two areas – User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and End Users across the globe.
We worked closely with the implementation partner and the client project team to develop and deliver an effective training plan of Classroom and Video content.
The classroom training was consistent of presentations, so that the context could be set. Followed by hands on exercises, that were pre-defined. These were then delivered in two ways: In class, in person training in the London Head Office, followed by virtual sessions for those of the team that were outside of the UK.Â
Videos were created, which were supported by QRG’s (Quick Reference Guides), the videos were captioned, so that these could be made available in multiple languages. These were then made available via the Company Intranet along with available learning paths.Â
Benefits
The tailored training programme helped employees in the UK/EMEA reach proficiency, maximising the client’s investment in the new cloud SaaS applications. The successful training plan is now being rolled out across other regions.
