About Value Retail

Value Retail is the only business to specialise exclusively in the creation and operation of luxury shopping destinations as a complementary channel to brands’ full-price offer. Through its flagship experiences, The Bicester Collection™, the company reflects each brand’s values and positioning while creating new opportunities for acquiring discerning customers.

With 11 Villages across Europe and China, Value Retail offers open-air, pedestrianised streets featuring leading luxury brands, restaurants, and cafés. Each Village delivers a curated and relaxing day out, conveniently located within an hour of major gateway cities.

Value Retail had implemented Oracle Fusion Applications some years ago but wanted to unlock greater value from the Analytics tools, particularly Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).

The Challenge

Value Retail’s Reporting and Analytics function was supported by a small internal team. The team needed guidance to:

  • Understand the principles of OTBI

  • Locate and interpret data structures

  • Create bespoke reports

  • Build and manipulate dashboards

  • Deliver real-time, meaningful data to the wider user community

With junior team members eager to build their confidence and skills, Value Retail required external expertise and practical training that would be directly relevant to their environment.

Our Approach

At Fudgelearn, we know that user adoption and confidence are at the heart of any successful Oracle programme. With a library of over 250 end-user courses already designed across Finance, Procurement, Projects, HCM, Payroll, CX, Supply Chain, Analytics, and EPM, we were able to respond quickly to Value Retail’s needs.

  • Tailored Training Selection – Value Retail reviewed our existing course outlines and identified the most relevant modules.

  • System-Specific Training – The training was delivered using Value Retail’s own system and data, making every exercise meaningful and applicable.

  • Timely Delivery – Training was scheduled promptly and supported with mentoring, ensuring staff had ongoing guidance beyond the classroom.

This combination of interactive training, mentoring, and role-specific learning gave the Value Retail team practical, hands-on experience they could apply immediately.

Benefits

  • Quick, cost-effective enablement – No need for lengthy development of training content, as courses came from Fudgelearn’s established library.

  • Highly relevant learning – Training delivered within Value Retail’s own environment ensured every scenario felt real.

  • Growing confidence and capability – Junior staff quickly built the skills needed to create and manage reports and dashboards.

  • Ongoing value – The positive feedback led Value Retail to commission additional training for more team members.

In Their Words

“Fudgelearn made it easy for us to get started. The training was hands-on, relevant, and immediately useful. Our team now has the confidence to make better use of OTBI, and we’ve already scheduled more courses to extend the benefit further.” – Value Retail representative

Result

Value Retail now has a more capable and confident Analytics team, able to deliver real-time insights that empower business decisions and support the organisation’s luxury retail operations.
