How does Oracle Guided Learning work?
Guided learning is built into the applications, based on user roles and system processes that are set up as your business requires. From here Guided Learning is then (with the help of Oracle and Fudge) able to perform a number of supporting actions:
- Guide your users when the have forgotten the correct use of the system, either in a “step-by-step” guide or a more interactive manner.
- Provide context to company policies and procedures from within the application by using Tips and Flashing Beacons to prompt the user to click and investigate.
- Support data entry by validating fields within the application, based on rules you agree.
- Enable company wide or user role-based announcements to drive communication or changes.
- Provide your L&D team with the ability to connect training content directly to your Oracle Fusion Applications.
- Enable your Change Team to analyse the use of the system, to enable them to have insights into where usage is high, low, or misunderstood.
All of this from the dynamic widget or from within the application itself.
What can I expect from Oracle Guided Learning?

- Step Guides – Step-by-step guides are the heart of Oracle Guided Learning. These interactive steps can be a series of quick text-based tool-tips, but they can also be transformed into an engaging visual aide, images, videos, GIFs, forms and more.
- Automatically generated message and guide templates – Access automatically generated message and guide templates and easily view a complete list of steps for any given business process. Step guides can be previewed, printed, and shared to enhance user readiness and self-sufficiency.
- Interactive Guides – Oracle Guided Learning is fully customisable for your users, with personalisation. Create message content and blast it out instantly to selected teams or the entire organisation. Edit content directly in live guides to ensure learning content stays up to date with features and business processes. Link these guides directly to video content, presentations and training materials from your L&D department.
- Smart Tips – Provide key information about a particular field or remind users to follow a specific business process or compliance requirement, directly within the platform.
- Beacons – Flashing icons are designed to prompt users to click a certain menu item, button, or element.
- Dynamic Widget – The widget is a gateway to your library of content. The auto-filled search is configured to show employees only content relevant to them. The widget can be minimised to a small icon that can be moved around the screen so it stays out of the way. It also remembers each employee’s preference and will appear at the same place when Oracle Guided Learning restarts.
- Analytics – Gain insights on how your employees are using your learning content, and how your guides are performing. With the help of deep product and user data, understand which guides are more effective and who in your staff is struggling with new cloud software and processes. Use metric driven insights to optimise learning content, improve the user experience and reach out to employees who need more assistance or create new content to add additional support.
- Announcements – Guided Learning’s Message Editor equips customers with a “just-in-time” communication mechanism, allowing Product and Learning Teams to instantly write and publish a message, targeting employees by role or page action. The Message Editor can be used for a variety of communication needs: technology changes, software updates, process changes, changes in compliance requirements, administrative announcements such as downtime, or other key business communications.
- Embedded Policies – Promote your company’s policies within the applicable workflow to increase knowledge and compliance. Oracle Guided Learning allows you to present employees with policy details at the precise time they are needed to put them into action, for example, Expenses or Procurement Policies.
- Machine Translation – Displaying content in the native language of your workers is critical in some parts of the world and of course, helps drive productivity. Oracle Guided Learning provides automated machine translation of content, allowing employees to learn from Guided Learning guides in the language of their choice.
