Case study #1

Local Government moving from Oracle EBS to Fusion Applications

Fudge Learn supported the client team with implementing reports in Oracle Fusion.

Challenge

Internally the local authority had experience of developing Reports & Dashboards using OBIEE across Finance and HCM. However, they had no experience of developing reports in Fusion. Their implementation partner was contracted to build only 10 reports and therefore the team across Finance and HCM needed to understand which reporting tool to use and then how to use it.

Solution

Our Analytics expert firstly spent time with the business and the reporting team(s) to fully understand their training needs. Bespoke courses were then developed using existing Fudge training materials so that the learning was tailored to fit the Local Authorities needs. These courses were then delivered remotely due to Covid restrictions over a period of weeks.

The team were then supported by additional mentoring sessions to support them while they put their newly acquired knowledge to the test.

Outcome

A team of 10 Financial and 8 HCM reporting analysts were not only able to identify which reporting tools would be able to provide the reports required, they were also able to develop and deliver a whole range of Dashboards and Reports to support the business. This training gave the Local Authority huge confidence in their ability and enabled them to be self-sufficient moving forward.

Case study #2

Greenfield implementation of Fusion Applications

Fudge Learn educated the team on Oracle Analytics tools and services.

Confidence and skills developed enabling the team to generate their own reporting.

The team are now passing on skills and teaching internally.

Challenge

As part of a global templated implementation, the Reporting Team was tasked with developing a large number of reports for the business. The existing team had Data Warehousing and Report building experience, with other tools, rather than Oracle. They needed expert support to teach them how to use the Oracle Analytics tools, starting with OTBI.

Solution

We quickly understood the need of the team and developed a bespoke course using their system and data based on existing Fudge training materials. The course was then delivered remotely using our online classroom provided by Hurdle.live due to Covid restrictions. As the team were fairly experienced we agreed to cover a number of advanced topics as part of the initial course, to reduce costs and time of delivery.

Outcome

The reporting team were quickly able to take their new knowledge to set up the self-service reporting functions for the business and provide the expertise required to support the users, creating confidence not only in the reporting team, but with the Business Users.
